Norwalk firefighters were dispatched around 9 a.m.Sunday, March 3, to 20 Paradiso St., for a report of smoke coming from the house, said Norwalk Fire Department Deputy Chief Albe Bassett.
All the occupants had self-evacuated from the building prior to fire department arrival.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire burning in the ceiling of a second-floor bathroom and a third-floor apartment, Bassett said.
Hose lines were stretched to extinguish the fires on both floors.
There were no injuries reported and the Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause, he added.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the six to seven residents with temporary housing.
